CST Outside Sales

Salesperson will represent Company in the sales role of a Certified Structural Technician (CST) in sales calls typically made at customer’s homes or businesses. The Salesperson is expected to have sufficient construction or sales industry experience to properly diagnose the problems the home or business owner’s structure is having, design an appropriate repair plan, and convert the opportunity to a sales contract for the Company at a high closing rate.

Salesperson will report directly to either a Sales Manager or General Manager.


General Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Confirm appointments 2 days in advance.
  • Run all leads given to you. All leads are the exclusive property of the company.
  • Be on time to appointments – if you think you are going to be 5 minutes late, you must call the prospect.
  • Result Appointments in i360 (CRM) after each appt or daily at a minimum. Check company email regularly andrespond timely as needed.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings; be on time & prepared. Attend all scheduled company meetings and call backnights.
  • Salespeople must make a reasonable effort to generate leads on their own. Go by job sites, work referrals,network with businesses and associations, work home shows, etc.
  • Use 10 Step Selling System and approved Sales Presentation, sales tools, approved marketing materials.CADD review, financing, laptops, etc.
  • Call all customers back at least twice in the first 17 days after the appointment.
  • All sold jobs must have signed contracts, with CAD and no amendments will be made to the existing contractswithout prior management approval.
  • All sold jobs must be in accordance with standard company pricing schedule.
  • Close a minimum of 25% percent in the first 3 months of running leads and 30% minimum thereafter.
  • Average job amount must be equal to the company average.
  • Drive responsibly when in company vehicle. Maintain the appearance & upkeep of the vehicle.
  • Personal appearance must be maintained and reflect company policy.

Salesperson agrees to be physically present for (but not limited to) the following Company meetings and events:

  • Call Back Nights
  • Sales Meetings
  • National Sales Meetings
  • Evening Sales Appointments
  • Weekend Sales Appointments
  • Home Shows / Trade Shows / Fairs
  • Continuing education and/or annual training
